The pictures and real-time video demo on this page were produced by EarthDetails using data from OSI Geospatial. This highly accurate dataset consists of over 300 thousand rooftops and 1 pixel per square foot aerial photography.

No Longer Just The Downtown Core

In other models over the web, you have seen buildings in downtown cores with more detail. What is unique about this urban model, is that every house in the county is a 3D rooftop, and though that came at the expense of less detail per building, our 3D is not limited to just the downtown core.

Bringing It To The People

Across the US, local governments have varying mandates to provide data for local initiatives and city planning. Once the data is contracted and collected, it is made available in layers (elevation, imagery, rooftops, etc.) to engineers and planners to use in their sophisticated high-end design and GIS software. Unfortunately, it does not come in a 3D merged form like the samples on this page, available and effortlessly accessible over the web to regular citizens and businesses.
